Den norske trial-verdensmesteren har tatt et valg. Nå er det tilbake til “std” sykkel. Her får du hans forklaring:
Sondre “Gekko” Haga:
Hi everyone
After putting everything into the electric project this year, I’ve had to make a tough decision.
I chose to race electric because I believed the job wasn’t done yet – and I still had faith that winning on electric power was possible. Running a first-generation prototype as a private rider is simply too difficult right now. A second generation of the bike is already in development, and I was running out of parts for my obsolete version. This, together with my intention to compete in America on a budget, has prompted this change.
I want to say a big thank you to everyone who has supported me and worked hard on the electric project. You’ve all been amazing.
I truly believe that electric bikes are the future and that the potential is huge. But at this moment, it’s just too challenging to continue this path on my own.
That said, I’m very grateful to GASGAS for giving me a petrol bike to race on for now. I hope that when the time is right, we can come back even stronger to the electric project.
Next weekend, I’ll be racing in San Marino on the petrol bike. I’ll give it everything I’ve got, even with limited time to get used to it.
Thanks so much to everyone for your continued support – it means a lot!
